Margaret Potter is a teacher who is truly passionate about what she does. Originally from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Potter moved to sunny Tallahassee, Florida. Potter attended Florida State University to receive her bachelors degree in communications. After graduating from FSU with her bachelors degree, Potter then began teaching. She then earned her masters degree in English at Nova University. After finishing school, Potter moved to Englewood as a career opportunity to become an English teacher.
Potter claims that she became an English teacher because, "When I was little, I slept with books instead of stuffed animals." She is dedicated to teaching because she loves being around teens. If given a chance to teach a different subject, Potter would choose to teach French. "I love the language," said Potter. She has been teaching at Lemon Bay for three years and chose to come to Lemon Bay because, "There are awesome kids and an awesome staff." Aside from her teaching, she is involved in many after school activities.
Potter is the proud sponsor of the Sophomore Class and started a new club called Anime Club. She has been organizing and sponsoring these clubs since she began teaching at Lemon Bay. Potter enjoys these extra curricular activities and plans to sponsor them for years to come. Potter's life revolves around school, but she also has many other things that she enjoys doing in her free time.
Potter is very passionate about many things including her husband, her family, and playing with words. "It's all pun and games," she said. She also likes reading, boating, and occasionally playing guitar and golf, both of which she claims she doesn't do very well.
Potter is a very interesting woman who enjoys helping children learn and bettering her community. She enjoys her career and wouldn't trade it for the world.
