Daniel Monica, originally from Winter Haven, Florida, moved to Englewood to enjoy an easy lifestyle and to be a teacher. Monica graduated from the University of South Florida and earned his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Business Administration degrees. Since then Monica has been teaching for eight years in Englewood at L.A. Ainger Middle School working in the subjects of science, math and computers. Now he has joined the staff at Lemon Bay to work in the OJT/DCT (on the job training/diverse career training) program.
When he is not teaching, Monica is enjoying one of his hobbies. "I love to travel; my favorite vacation spot is Bali because it is just a super place, and the people are very kind and welcoming!" Besides Bali, he has traveled to many other interesting places like Spain, London, Tokyo, Bora Bora, and Fiji, just to name a few. Monica also likes to read, and you can usually find him turning the pages of any Randy Wayne White books. "I love his work; his story line is based around a marine biologist who always finds himself in a whirlpool of trouble." Out of everything he likes to do, teaching is his favorite "I have always wanted to be a teacher, nothing else."
With his several years of experience, Monica will add to the many great teachers here at Lemon Bay, and he will help students enjoy a positive work environment with the OJT/DCT program.
