Marcia Johnson is an inspiring teacher at Lemon Bay High School. She attended and graduated from Massachusetts College of Art, Cambridge College, and the Art Institute of Boston and earned a Bachelor's in Fine Art and a Master's of Education with a focus in Art Education. Her credentials include licenses in teaching Art k-12 and Art Supervision and Administration in Massachusetts, California and Florida.
The 2010-2011 school year is Johnson's sixth year of teaching at Lemon Bay. Johnson also teaches college courses. Prior to her teachings at Lemon Bay Johnson taught at magnet and charter schools as well as colleges and universities in Massachusetts and California. She enjoys the structure for the students to choose the right paths to lead them to a successful career choice. She teaches Art I, Painting and Drawing II and III, and Portfolio I and II. "My favorite thing about teaching is inspiring students in the field of fine art." In addition to teaching, Johnson also sponsors the Photography Club. She involves herself with the students out of the classroom to help them with their photography skills.
Johnson is an influential teacher at Lemon Bay High School, and her students are fortunate to have the experience of her teaching during their high school career.
