Rosanna Hipps

Rosanna Hipps is an admired English teacher at Lemon Bay High School. She is actively involved in numerous school activities as well as balancing and enjoying her free time out of school.
Hipps moved from Connecticut and New York. While in Connecticut, she attended Scared Heart University. Hipps then went to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. While at college, she earned her bachelors in English and education. She has now lived in Florida since 1972. Hipps taught on the east coast for four years, at L.A. Ainger Middle School for ten years, at Port Charlotte Middle School for nine years, and five years at Lemon Bay High School.
She has taught English I at Lemon Bay High School for five years as of now. "My favorite thing about teaching is helping people work to achieve their goals." Hipps also involves herself in extra-curricular activities at Lemon Bay High. She has been the senior class sponsor for the past five years. "My favorite part about LBHS is the students because they keep me young, make me laugh, and always teach me new things." When outside of school, Hipps has several hobbies that keep her occupied.
Hipps has a variety of interests that keep her busy outside of school activities and teaching. She enjoys sewing and cooking a variety of dishes. One of her favorite hobbies is to care for her two children, Matthew and Allison. Her daughter plays softball, and Hipps enjoys attending her games and watching Allison play.
Hipps has two cats that she rescued from a shelter and believes that they make the best pets.
If she has any spare time left for herself, she enjoys reading The Count of Monte Cristo, as well as watching all of the Harry Potter movies.
Hipps is a world-traveler, and enjoyed where she has traveled in the past. She is an extremely busy woman when she is out of school.
"My advice for students would be to plan ahead always, set goals and never stop trying."
