About Us
Lemon Bay High School is one of many high schools across the country that are discovering that what happens during the 9th grade is key to the overall success of any great high school. Mirroring the educational philosophy of Bill Daggett, the 9th grade staff have created the Freshman Academy.
This Freshman Academy features a myriad of strategies, including small learning communities, class size adjustments, academic interventions, mentoring, tutoring, and rigorous and relevant instructional approaches developed to make the transition into high school more accommodating for our freshman students.
Lemon Bay High School has an uncompromising commitment to doing everything possible to help guide our 9th graders to become successful students. We are proud to have implemented the Freshman Academy to provide support and assistance to our parents and students.
